A 90-minute class with Tea Master Brad Lebowitz

Limited to 8 people to create an intimate setting and experience. You will learn about the different ways tea is processed in different parts of the world, and how that results in a wide range of tea varieties.

You will learn how the making of and the drinking of tea can enhance the quality of your life and contribute to mindful living in line with the Taoist, Zen and minimalist components contributing to “Teasim”

Teaism. “When tea is more than a drink and the tea ceremony is understood and practiced to foster harmony in humanity, promote harmony with nature, discipline the mind, quiet the heart, and attain the purity of enlightenment, the art of tea becomes teaism”.

You will learn how to properly make different types of tea, at what temperatures, how long to steep, and how the understanding and participation in the rituals of making and drinking tea can help with mindfulness. You will learn the differences between white, green, oolong, black and puer teas.

There are multiple options for lunch afterward in Berkeley, and 4th Street is not far away.
