PBKNCA Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, Novato

Please plan to join us for PBKNCA’s annual meeting and awards luncheon on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Key Room, 1385 North Hamilton Parkway, in Novato. If you attended last year, you will remember what a wonderful experience it was. Not only was the venue lovely and the food delicious, the event was also an opportunity to help others. Founded in 2008, the Key Room serves as an extension of Homeward Bound of Marin, helping fulfill its mission of moving people from crises to stability to thriving. This unique venue earns revenue to support programs and builds employment skills for people facing barriers to work and housing. Each event in The Key Room offers a chance to see the culinary trainees and graduates in action while enjoying a delicious meal. 

The new spring menu will be finalized soon and will offer a buffet with vegetarian and gluten free options, along with a meat selection. The cost will be $50 per person, all inclusive. We will begin at noon with registration and socializing, followed by the buffet at 12:30, a short business meeting, and then presentation of the Teaching Excellence and Scholarship awards. There will be lots of time afterwards to enjoy the Key Room and its patio, while connecting with both old and new friends, as well as the awardees.

The Key Room offers plenty of free parking and is very handicap accessible.

Driving directions 

Please follow directions on your smartphone, rather than your car, as last year the latter had people driving in circles. or follow the directions below).

From Northbound Highway 101: (San Rafael, San Francisco, etc.)

• Take the Alameda del Prado/Hamilton Field exit. Keep right on exit ramp to merge onto Nave Drive, which runs parallel to the highway.

• Continue 1 mile north on Nave Drive, passing the Main Gate entrance to Hamilton Field and State Access Road.
• Turn right on Hamilton Parkway, just before McDonald’s.
• Turn right into driveway just past the Marin Airporter depot, which is on your right, across from the Marriott Hotel (our driveway sign says Homeward Bound of Marin).
• Pass the first set of buildings on the left. Continue on to the newer building on the left that has three palm trees planted out front. You’ve arrived at the parking lot for The Key Room.
• The event venue is located in the building with the palm trees out front. Walk through the archway of the building to the main doors, which are adjacent to the Admin Office.

From Southbound Highway 101: (Santa Rosa, Petaluma, etc.)

• Take the Hamilton Field exit, then keep right to transition onto Ignacio Boulevard and cross left over the freeway.
• Turn right onto Nave Drive, which runs parallel to the freeway.
• Continue about ½ mile and turn left onto North Hamilton Parkway (McDonald’s on corner).
• Turn right into driveway just past the Marin Airporter depot. which is on your right, across from the Marriott Hotel (our driveway sign says Homeward Bound of Marin).
• Pass the first set of buildings on the left. Continue on to the newer building on the left that has three palm trees planted out front. You’ve arrived at the parking lot for The Key Room.
• The event venue is located in the building with the palm trees out front. Walk through the archway of the building to the main doors, which are adjacent to the Admin Office.
